The Heroes Journey

Description

The Heroes Journey is a set of levels I created in an engine called Fight the Dragon. In short I wanted to build a dungeon crawler adventure game, but discovered the real mechanics of the game offer a different experience.

This first video shows a great representation of how this engine when done incorrectly can feel empty and hard to explore.

Learning the Editor

Sprint 1

This was my first stage. It was built to introduce the mechanics of the game, without much punishment to the player. The boss in this level is weaker than most. Enemies are more forgiving. And the level design shows you whats ahead before hurting you.
