The reason I made this project was due to two reasons. The first is that I wanted to create a game that had players actively involved throughout the game. The other important goal was to make the game about skill, luck, and choice to control them.

This was a project that was split across 5 weeks. The objective was to complete 2 mini-games a week and the entire boards content in a week as well. This was accomplished with the first 2 weeks being mini-game development. One luck based, one skill based each week. The third week was creating the event cards, tickets, points, player pieces, and the board. The final two weeks were again mini-game development. During the entire project we were aware from week one what each part of the game was going to be. And because the mini-games were modular balancing of the game was much easier.

Description

At the Circus is a party board game that has people compete to collect the most cotton candy. Players move around the board playing any of the 8 mini-games to try and win big. As the players move around the board events may take place and skills may be earned. The player with the most cotton candy in the end is the winner.
