This project had a mechanic for a while I wanted to work on for a board game. The idea was to have weapons that gave the player range of attack. This would show the player their exact bullet path. Meanwhile I also had a motto during this project, with the amount of content in this game players should be able to remember all actions by the end of their second turn. This was a goal of mine to keep the game from being stuck in the rule book.

Description

Left 4 Dead the board game is a 4 vs 1 team work game. Much like in the real Left 4 Dead we aimed to make the zombies overpower the players who wonder alone. The humans need to escape by finding 3 keys, while the zombies need to feed.

Why/Motto

Goals/Milestones

Initially this was going to be a Nazi Zombie project. However it was changed to a Left 4 Dead theme because playing as special infected was more fun than controlling hordes of enemies. For the first two weeks we developed the game with the idea that the one player would control a ton of zombies. Once we decided to make them barriers instead the game became more fun for both human and zombie sides. The following weeks were committed to converting all the art to fit that theme. And we finished off the game by testing different special infected abilities and how they would affect the game.
